Day Trip: Day 1...

My sister and niece are over from the states for a few weeks, so that means time off work to see them and do some very 'English' things with them.

Growing up in the north, day trips would normally stay up in the north of the country, so now I am living in the south, it was time to explore what the south has to offer.

Day 1 was a trip to Bath. It is such a lovely city, amazing architecture and it was great to be with nearly all of my side of the family. The weather was lovely for us too!

Here are a few pics from the day...

The brother and I at his graduation in Oxford when I was about 16 weeks preg... I know I probably look just a little bit fat rather than preg and the bump looks non-existent, but believe me it is most definitely getting bigger... More pics to come...

BOY!!

The 20 week scan was this morning and all is well with our little babe. I loved being able to see him again and to find out that it actually is a 'him'.

(7 year old Uncle Sammy will be very pleased - he was desperate for it to be a boy as he "doesn't like girls")!

In a pickle...

So I know pregnancy can do cray things to you and make you crave certain foods, but lately I just can't get enough of pickled onions! I have always liked pickles in general, so it's not like I have started eating something I never normally would. I would only ever had them every now and again but now I am going through jars like they are going out of fashion! If I get the thought of them in my head then I HAVE to have them. Isn't it so bizarre that growing a little person in you can cause all this craziness?!

The hubs and I have been wondering whether it will become one of the bubs fave thing to eat one day, as it sure is liking them right now! We are also wondering if this kind of craving is an indicator as to whether it is a girl or a boy... but after some extensive research into the matter, ha ha, it was all very inconclusive. Guess we will just have to wait until the scan on Monday... yes that's right, Monday, as in 3 sleeps time!! Eeeeeek!

P.s - Happy Friday! (Has Rebecca Black ruined Friday's for you as she has for me?! At least having the song in my head today works out OK, as 'we, we, we, we so excited'!!

We recently attended the wedding of Ryan & Emma - Mike has known Ryan since he was born I do believe, so it was really lovely to be part of their New York themed special day. Aren't they going to have such beautiful brunette babies?!
